Just a thought. Anything that you don't like about your Scoob.
I've got two things.
1. The b****y awful aerial that really looks stupid on such a cracking car. Whoever thought that one up should be shot or have the aerial inserted somewhere the sun don't shine.
2. The gits that want to race or tailgate you. Usually on the motorway.

With my P1, it's gotta be.........

The lack of heated wing mirrors.
That soddin bright button.
The way the glove box doesn't line up.
The lack of a lining on the boot lid.

Apart from that, it's fab and I love the admiring glances it gets.

Alasdair

The thing I hate the most is the lack of decent stowage space in a Scoob, Not that I want "Fiat Multipla" functionaity, but just where do you put your Sunglasses and your can of drink ? And what's the point of that stupid little hole / slot just above the drivers right knee !!! MY97 ????

Yeah Smallfin

You're right, mine's a wagon and the rear wiper in particular doesn't have an intermitent function. And why do the front wipers only wipe once or twice, when you press the washer . AAAAaaaaaaaaagghhh!!!

still worth it though. I can forgive it everything, even the 19 MPG. !!

Cool

1)poor quality interior
2)poor quality seat covers
3)poor quality clutch
4)poor quality paint
5)hesitation/surging problems
6)allowing time for engine to warm up, yet they dont fit oil guages as standard!
7)official prodrive goodies that cost a fortune from the dealer, who will give you virtually nothing for them come trade in time.
8)poor headlights...they are DANGEROUS!
9)overated dealers
10)shocking residuals
11)tailgater and nova boys.u might as well paint a big target on the side of your car and say bother, harrass or nick me.

sorry to gripe, but as ive said before, its the best car ive ever driven, but the worst ive OWNED,
thats why ive got rid of my my00. we still have a my95, which has MUCH better build quality, and is going strong even after 70k miles and a superchip
goes like stink and has more character than the my00 ever had. me and princess reckon the earlier cars were built with more love, perhaps when subaru had more to prove?
this is why ive gone over to bmw ....along with everyone else it seems

I agree - lights not good,
spongiferous brakes,
can't park it in public without causing loose
bowel movements,
nightmares caused by piston slap worry syndrome,
side panels that dent if you so much as look at them in the wrong way,
underseal alopecia,
the way i am totally addicted to the thing!!

Mixit,

If you buy a new WRX you get a cup holder that protrudes from the dashboard. It really is naff!

Cannot get out of my car without getting an electric shock.

Stereo is abysmal. They genuinely should not have bothered.

Probably others but I still love it more than the last one.

Lack of steering feed back caused by over assisted steering . Audi quattros had speed sensitive PAS 10 years ago . Come on subaru . Insurance . Headlights . Draws attention from cops . Price of genuine parts and servicing .

It's got to be the soppy bright button on the dash....I've seen more light come out the end of my ****.
Oversized sterring wheel.
And the way the bonnet seems to be prone to stone chips like no other car i've had.
But hey a very small price to pay for my baby I love her to bits.

AND HOW YOU GUYS CAN GO OVER TO BMW.....HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME.

Be careful......
I think there is something in the f.a.q from the SIDC that says the standard wiring loom may melt with these 100W Jobbies. !!

Big thin steering wheel
Lack of rear window wipers
panels made out of kit kat wrappers
headlights
brakes
interior trim
swine-to-clean alloys
no space
birds seem to equate DBM = place to ****
service costs
tyre costs and wear rate

BUT

it is the first car I've owned which is not boring and therefore you can forgive it anything else

and i've owned a few

I aggree with most of whats been said, but I have to say I have yet to have anyone try to race or goad me into anything! On the contrary, most people move over when they see it in the mirror!
Mickey - I hope you have learnt your lesson and will never go to Ikea again. They take the p**s out of the British in their adverts (remember the fat bloke on the beach with the knoted handkerchief on his head?) yet you still went to buy something! Shame on you

Insurance.
Fuel consumption.
The odd rattle.
Everyone wants a race, or is trying to nick it.

What do I like?
Performance, Performance, Performance, and handling.
Oh, I nearly forgot, the noise.

Sometimes you ask yourself, why have I bought this car. Especially when answering these kind of questions.

Dislikes:
The main Subaru importer
No garantee (well officially one year)
OEM brakes
OEM lighting
Steering wheel to big
Power Steering too soft (unresponsive)
No rear wiper
No boost and oil gauges
Seats in the MY99 (not really sporty)
Bad seating position

Plusses:
Value for money
Performance
Noise
Grin factor

I could be picky and find fault - but then no car is perfect and you will never find every customer satisfied regardless of make or model. I know one thing though - my Scooby ain't boring and that's what counts. The car has done 24K miles in just over a year with regular servicing and has been 100% reliable (*looking for large lump of wood to touch*) and never failed to put a smile on my face. I also have the benefit of an excellent dealer (Cheam Motors).

Cheers

Chris (please feel free to shoot me if I end up driving a 'euro box company car' - you know the ones...)
