What type of cat will a 95 wrx wagon have
As I'll need one come it's mot, it's not for a good few months but would rather get it early, it's a full stainless on it as far I know. Do back boxes need to standard to, Infact come to think our it, if it's a full stainless, an original cat and back box won't fit as it'll be made as one or have joints/breaks that won't be in the same place as the original. Looks like I might need a full standard system...bollox!

What makes you think it needs a cat?
My 95 Wagon didn't have one for its last 4 MOTs.
Two things you can do,
1, find a test centre that offers free re-tests, get it tested and see what happens.
2, Go to your friendly MOT station, ask him to check for exhaust gas MOT compliance (you normally have to pay). If it's OK get it MOT'd, if not then be prepared to spend.

I think it's because the cars I've had allways had them, this is the oldest one I've had for a while so as you say, might never have had or needed one. As for the mot, I too have used the same guy/place for years but he's getting strict.
The backbox still might not pass, and depending how it's connected (havent looked yet) a standard either will or wont fit.
I guess I'm just used to taking standard cars up, or when it was bikes, they'd allways say whe you're booking "is it the standard plate and exhaust", so had to the originals on for the test
