Morette lenses are hard to come by and cost a fortune..................I bought a knackered morette headlight just on the off chance mine cracked.

I'd buy an uncracked set with good wiring and uncorroded relays.

Worth the lack of hassle.

I guess it depends on what you are paying for the morettes with the cracked lens? An onloved set of morettes might have a shed load of underlying problems..........usually corrosion

Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick?

I'd expect Morettes to go for about £230 in good nick.......it's borderline I guess buying a broken one and mending it. Maybe offer the seller of the knackered morettes £140 ?

Have you thought about UK300 lights? mind you they are just as expensive and cost even more if a lens cracks. However, they are a bit more reliable LOL

I've had Morettes for the last 10 years and have tried every bulb available......from Phillips Blue Vision to Osram nightbreakers.

Still not as good as my 1.2 Renault Clio Lights for Cumbrian roads.

Agreed on that Shaun

Maybe worth add HID kit,we tried and has been great improvement, but wouldn't go again down the route of the Morette

Which HID kit do you have bighead........ just checked mine and one of the headlights have blown again (either that or the relay had lunched itself again)
