Default Steering rack

Hi everybody. Took my 95 wrx off the road yesterday to replace steering rack as it is toast!!! Has anyone changed one if so is it a steady job or a complete pain in the rear end? Read on line I have to drop exhaust off too??!!?? Help please if you've done this job.

Its not too bad. the powersteering pipes are quite fiddly to remove. take the joint that connects the rack to the column. Undo the bolts that mount the rack and pop the ball joints out of the hubs each side. should give you enough movement to get at the pipes. once they are off its out. replace the rack mounts with new ones when refitting. think thats it. i didnt remove my exhaust at all.
