I was washing my hawkeye today and spotted there's a rectangular cut out in the rear bumper just above the number plate. In said cut out is the two number plate lights.

Now my question is, should there be something (like a cover) filling the rest of the cut out? It seems a bit odd and was full of mud.

Nope, nothing missing, it's how they are.

I know what you mean though, it does look like something is missing.

 

Great for a rear camera, yea is a little odd tho,
