Default Sooo, Plasti Dip?

I have just seen this product and I must say it
looks pretty awesome stuff and easy enough to
do it myself.

I have a my97 turbo 2000 wagon and the paint
is looking tired and the lacquer is peeling quite
badly in places, mainly scoop and rear spoilers.

So having seen Plasti Dip I am thinking of going
matt black down the sides and tailgate, what do
you think?

You will need to prep the paint still otherwise you will just coat over the poor condition of the paint and you will still see it where its peeled etc

Imo matt black will also look shat, do it white or gloss black.

I was intending to flatten out the bad areas. The cars
colour is 64c green mica so white I think would look
wrong and I like the stealth look of the matt black.

Spent all of yesterday and today watching all the vids
on u-tube.

Do it.

I painted my wheels a while back.
Very easy to apply. Just do heaps of coats. Seems to fill minor imperfections as the stuff is pretty thick.
I was really impressed I pulled the dip off the wheels today. And it really did hide some of the old imperfections.
The thicker you lay it on, the easier it will come off!

I just did my bug bonnet in matt black, original paint / surface wasnt the best so nothing to lose; was very happy with the result, and the peeling off of the overspray is just magical

dont know how it will last, but who cares, its dead easy to touch up and if it goes badly wrong peel off and start again.

Next.... whole car, matt white.

PS. it did hide pretty much all the surface imperfections, bar the stone dents. Feckin gritters!
Prep was a wash with Fairy liquid, dry, tack cloth, paint.... no prob.
