a few points to note

1-swap value says £4k+

2-the interior looks the inside of a kiddies play group

3-the spoiler looks ****

4-swapz is full of time wasters

5-if something seems too good to be true...........then it generally is

a well spec'd impreza running a proper safe 440bhp will have been someones pride and joy and will command a higher price

dont get drawn into the wibbly wobbly world of no-hopers and there subarus with massive power for not much money

if it really has got a six speed box and forged engine its worth it but writing uprated rather than listing the parts rings alarm bells, also if it was an sti engine the manifold would be red.

id want rr printouts to prove the bhp and receipts for the uprated parts but if he has then then its worth the money easily

id say shrek is spot on though......

it does have brembos and coilovers too and in the interior shot it has a six speed **** but more importantly it has the lifter to get the car into reverse on a six speed box so it may not be lies..

if he can back up his claims id take a look, it looks to me as if he has a 6 speed box in and you wouldnt go to that expense and trouble if you were running 300 bhp.

Seems too cheap to me, therefore dodgy. Check over thoroughly and make sure the parts listed are actually there..... well the "uprated" parts whatever they are ???

In that case it can't be all bad then worth checking after confirmation from them. Although I've never heard of them though.....

Thought I recognised this. It was up for sale in forecourt claiming 400bhp with no evidence by a car dealer. Looks nice being honest, but 4k is a little steep without proof of power, or any mods. There's no big names on that list for anything...

Then again, he might something in orange?

That's a good enough reason to give it a miss.

440bhp has to be an MD321T surely? or one of the SC's?

Could just be that he knows jack all about the car, area 52 should have the FULL spec on it, if theyre any good at keeping records.

Why would you give it a miss Ditch?

A friend of mine used to swear by Area 52 but they did something on his 440bhp Classic that wound him up so he went elsewhere. There are a few posts on Midlands Scoobies that say "Area 52 say I need a new engine" when there's clearly other options so I'm not sure how good/bad they are?

They're obviously dodgy monkeys. Looking at the engine bay its a WRX engine, and from the state of it it's not been out recently so I'd say the forged piston's bit is rubbish. Why go to all the trouble to pull the engine out, split the block and change the piston's to forged but not spend £100 on ACL bearings and a few hundred on forged rods also?.

If you test drive it make sure you get into 6th. Although 440BHP on the 2.5 engine? I thought they'd need pinning at that power?.
