Aye, I did get a bargain.
Front calipers, discs and pads, £150
Rear calipers and pads £100
I only needed to buy the rear discs and fitting bracket, but, I replaced the pads anyway as they were worn.
Stuff isn't that expensive when you know where to look.

I'm not disputing that fact, but what I'm saying is what the OP is offering is a complete brake set up front and rear with disc and pads I know when I upgraded my wife's Subaru with the exact set up I did not get that much change out of £500.What's do you think two pot calipers disc and pads and the braket to fit them is worth worth?it's got to be at least around £150 or so,so I think my maths is bang on the money.SJ.

I think what you need to take in to consideration as well is when someone is selling something if you are a buyer you ALWAYS want something off the list price so a sensible seller should always put that into his equation expecting a potential buyer to haggle his list price.SJ.

I recently sold a set of front 4pots with near new discs and pads for £150 and a set of rear 2 pots with again near new discs and pads for £120, admittedly. The rear calipers didnt have the bracket to fit to classics but that was all i could get for the lot, i had them up for sale for ages too

Id advertise the whole lot for £350 and see what happens.

The problem is very few people want this setup. Most cars have 4 pots anyway so its either someone with broken calipers or an old impreza that would want them, and when you can buy the calipers, discs and pads new for £299 it makes second hand items hard to sell unless they are very cheap.
The rear setup is a bit easier but still doesn't appeal to many people.
Factor in most owners are more concerned about induction kits and dump valves than they are with stopping power and it makes selling second hand standard'ish' brake setups very hard.

yeah i hear yah £350 is around the figure in a roundabout waybut as i said above if you start at a price say the £350 you have to leave room for negotiations by the time you are haggled as a seller, were seller and buyer are both comfortable with the price say £300 then to post the lot out is proberly going to cost another £30 or so its not really worth it starting your list price to low.but as also said above you could be waiting ages for the right buyer to come along and purchase.you know what mate just keep them.SJ.
