gentlemens' agreement? boll*@ks
I thought the 280ps was a hard and fast rule, and nothing was officially over that?
even the special evos were exempt as they were not considered production.
if that is the case then what is all this then?

Beautiful BT van yellow aswell!
I read about this over 6 months ago and it seems they have finally released it

I think Subaru have been *allowed* to produce it, I don't know the proper detail, Ia m sure someone on here will.

Simple answer. It is not a 'Subaru'. It is an STi Subaru. Just like a Nissan GTR is a Nismo Nissan GTR and a Toyota is a TRD. They 'sell the car to an inhouse aftermarket tuner. If you really want to be picky if you own a like car you are really the second owner even if you bought it new. Like any rule there is always a way around it.
Edited to say thanks again to all those who took the pi55 a while ago when I mentioned a 320bhp model being available.

how did Toyota get away with the 'agreement' with the Supra? 324bhp, but I assume officially it was 280PS

Well 320 bhp or not, i wont be ordering! With the rumour of a face lift it would be a pointless exercise, maybe if the car looked as good as the 22b it would be worth it, but looking like the generally unloved and unwanted bug eye, no chance!
Yet again the wagon owners are left in the cold.
UK Spec equivalent to JAP Spec & Wagon equivalant to Saloon (Subaru & IM take note - give us what we want or we'll import & modify then your ever decreasing dealership will lose out on servicing too because you'd rather "cut your nose off to spite ya face")
All we want is an equal spec - surely its not much to ask
The independents laugh if your face ;-)
