Brian, dont have much to add, but I remember reading a car magazine in 1994 which featured a red Impreza L***JET, which was a prodrive car, with recaro interior, bigger speedlines { although pretty sure the were 16"s] and Bilstein suspension. It was in response to cars like the Integrale Evo and Escort cosworth, giving the Impreza a bit more of an edge, trying to appeal to driving enthusiasts when the regular turbo was still then a very well kept secret[ I owned a Integrale Evo then and to be frank at that time the Subaru never featured in my list!]. Anyway, Prodrive were starting to do their stuff on the cars in 1994 so sounds as if your mates is indeed one of the early ones,

regards, Mark

A guy up the road from me has a '94 M-reg prodrive in red, and he tells me that there were only 4 prodrive conversions done that year, so your mate's is very rare...

Anyone know any different?

I've just bought a 94' Prodrive and the Dash plaque reads 94PD0009 (I think), so I guess mine was the 9th.

Oh! It's Forest Green with 16inch Prodrive badged Speedlines, Bilsteins, Recaro Interior, ECU upgrade, Exhaust (I think it's 1 CAT less and backbox, can anyone confirm this).

I'm very pleased with it so far and is certainly a match for the 93 WRX I had last year.
