stuck locking nut.

Default stuck locking nut.

Hi Have a slight problem with one of my locking wheel nuts. I just changed 3 of them due to the nut that undoes them was starting to burr over and i was in danger of not being able to undo, well was in the process of changing them and guess what the last one that i get to it buggers up so now i have three wheels with new lockers on and one with the old one that i cant get off Dont really whant to buy a knew one just to get one off. Has anybody got any suggestions

Smaller socket and hammer it over .

My local tyre place took 4 out for me when I got a car with no key only charged me a tenner

Failing that I think screwfix sell a kit . Must be basic mind

but dont subaru ones have rotating shrouds to stop you from doing this?

they do, but the face of the locker is slightly smaller than the spinner, so knock a socket on thats slightly smaller than the face, not the spining part

failing that, a cold chisel and lump hammer. make an indent in the face, then knock it sideways and try to unscrew it that way

failing that, (but do your best to avoid doing it) just keep smashing the locker with the cold chisel, little bits will keep breaking off, then you will be left with the last bit thats right down in the bottom and a complete PITA to get out (yes it's from experience)
