I have an Impreza Turbo, purchased from new in 2000. It's reasonably heavily modified, still goes like stink, but after 12 years the bodywork is a little "tired". For its age, it's quite low mileage, so I've decided to spend some cash on tidying it up, rather than changing cars.

I've had door protection strips fitted from new, but these will have to come off for the doors to be resprayed, and I would like to replace them. Problem is that Subaru no longer stock these parts, so unless anyone has a set of these that they haven't used, I've got to think of something else.

I have seen a suggestion regarding using door protection strips for a Ford Mondeo. Has anyone actually done this, does the end result look OK, and what particular Mondeo model strips do I need?

Can anyone help, please?
