Does anyone know if the type r windscreens are different from other imprezas?

I remember gearing once that they are thinner.

I have a chip in my screen and autoglass only have knowledge of the 2000 turbo and my01.

Will the standard screen fit? or do I need to get hold of a P1 screen which they have never heard of?

Hello Adam,

I had to replace the windscreen on my Type R V4 several months ago and thought the same as you, are they the same.

Can't remember where i found out the info but they are the same as UK Imprezas.

The windscreen people offered me a choice of either green or blue tint, went for blue but it is a very light tint.

Anyway got it fitted no probs and none so far.

Sam

So far i have been told by a subaru mechanic that they are different, and he offered me access to a P1 windscreen for £650.

Cool

He offered you ACCESS to a P1 windscreen for £650! I'd hate to know what regular visitation rights would cost.

Moray, that is it.

I have had it with your crap.

You have offended me sir.
I demand satisfaction.

I challenge you to a...................

race.

22B versus nova.

straight line.

first person to 70mph.

if you lose, I kick you squaw in the nuts.

Cool

I note the "STRAIGHT LINE" condition... which is understandable, assuming you are proposing to drive the pimp-mobile yourself. After all, if your finely honed car control skills don't stretch as far as noticing you are dragging a flat tyre around, corners should be taken at sub-nova speeds.

Oh, and I don't think it's me you should be demanding satisfaction from... nothing personal, but you're not my type.

Had any thoughts as to what you're going to do about your new-discs-wont-play situation? Check if you can rechip it, it may save you some money.
