Default Which would you use?

A subaru dealer with no subarus on the forecourt..... (selling lots of fiats though)

Or a subaru dealer with subarus on the forecourt

Got to book a service this month and these are our two closest dealerships. Well the one with no subarus is the closest, but I dont like the idea its a subaru garage that doesnt acutally have any to sell.

I know a cars a cars and any menchanic could do it, but after reading some of the stories on here and other forums I just want to be careful.

I'd use... neither!

Try and find an independant Subaru specialist with a good reputation near you instead.

I'd find a Subaru Garage with a very good reputation, doesnt matter if its a specialist or a main dealer, reputation is what counts

My local dealer/servicer (still in warranty) no longer sells Subarus, but still has the same service staff. Subaru required them to buy a set number of new models each year, with little margin for offering deals, so they couldn`t afford to sell them.

thanks for the replies. I'm not sure it really matters to be fair cause its only a WRX and I havent changed anything yet apart from adding mudflaps so its standard, so cant see anyone doing any damage - lol - but I thought I'd just ask - better to be safe than sorry I suspose.

Yes live in Rugby, which is near cov, so will have a look at API.

Thanks Again.

As above, another recommendation for API. Just because it's a 'boggo' Wrx, doesn't mean any less care should be taken with it and any old dealership will do. I hazard API will beat dealer prices whilst actually providing a better service.

Assume you are referring to Crossroads (Tredington) and Carstins (Balsall Common)?

TDRacing (Warwick), API (nr Leamington) and Roger Clark (Hinckley) are you best bets if i'm honest.

I'm based between Rugby/Cov and use TDRacing in Warwick.

The pleasure in doing the Service yourself is worth it ... saves money and you know what's been done.

The garage reputation, if you must use one, is key ... whether main dealer or specialist.

assuming your car is under warranty from the dealer would taking it to a non Subaru establishment not void the remaining warranty?

Block exemption regs. only require that any parts that are used meet OE spec. doesnt state that business used needs to be VAT registered.

In answer to the OP, any of the specialists already mentioned should be able to do the work for you.
