Default Bit of help asap

A friend of mine is stranded with his 2003 uk Sti, car wont start, turning over with NO lights on in the dash, and says the red light is flashing in the key symbol in dash???
Any ideas???

Strange thing is he says that he has no dash lights, no head lights, wiper will work, interior lights will work??????????? Didnt think immobiliser would effect these??
He said he cant find a blown fuse

the key symbol is the immobiliser try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes then reconnecting it sometimes resets the alarm/immobiliser.

will it jump off ? how old is the battery ? alternator ?

The battery and altenator are all fine, its turning over no problem but like it has no ignition on
