Cleaning car seats
I've noticed the Subaru's seats are looking a bit grimey like they have stains but don't, so assume they need a deep clean with some sort of "water hoover" (that's literally all I know). VAX or something?
I've tried a normal hoover and the foam stuff you rub on, agitate and wipe off but need something to soak it and suck the crap out.
What do people use either bought or rented with good results?
Thanks

I use the cleaning foam with a stiff hand held brush (like a washing up brush) to get deep in. Let the foam soak a bit before agitating it with the brush, you may need to do it a couple of times. Don't go too mad with the brush though or you'll damage the weave. Make sure you use a decent hoover afterwards! I don't like using water inside the car you can never completely get rid of the moisture (misty windows are my pet hate!).

My daughters bloke does industrial carpet cleaning but as a few lesser machines for upholstery and furniture.
The machine is like a Vax but with more suction, better chemicals and the water can be used hot too. The seats came up fantastic and it was a tad embarrassing to say the least with the state of the water.

Hmm, I'm wondering if it's worth using a respectable valeter then who may have access to a hot water Vax. I think the carpets are ok (well boot carpet needs doing) just the seats. Taking them in/out is a PITA so would rather leave them in.

we use our karcher puzzi , you can hire similar from dry cleaners and even morrisons , dont use too much detergent as is has a negative effect ! they will look like new and you wont believe the colour of the water

Hmm could be Jeff. Give them an opportunity to dry properly. I assumed they were horrid to remove/refit because of the rollers? I'm gladly proven wrong on this occasion

COD, shame you aren't closer to me. I'm doing mine again tomorrow.
I use a Numatic (George) , Water down the solution like 3:1 , clothes brush , towel and leave to air out with the windows partly open.
