The box in the middle is a resonator.
Your cat is in the downpipe (the pipe that comes off the turbo and down under the car).

If you just want to increase the noise and have no future plans for big power just fit a 2.5" middle section and back box, (downpipe back).

If your going to do turbo back mate make sure you got someone to give you a hand. I did it for the first time recently. Took me 9 hours but we had a lot of rain for 2 hours. Good luck tho mate youll be happy with the result

What on earth went wrong for it to take so long ?

He's only wants to do middle section and back box I think, 1 hour tops even if you stop for a brew.

Full de-cat from the turbo back is your best bet mate or maybe stick a sports cat downpipe on.
Shouldn't take you anymore than an hour and a half to fit the entire system.

De-cat, decent panel filter and a mapping session will see a very nice improvement.
