Default Alloy radiator query

Just bought a replacement radiator as mine shat its pants.

I have fit said radiator but there appears to now be a spare hose, small one, on the left as you look under the bonnet.

There was a nib for this on the last radiator but not this... any ideas? Do I by-pass it somehow?... confused!

Thanks

Has the new rad got a filler cap and overflow pipe?

I used the existing pipe which connects one of the header hoses to the coolant top up, but just above the main pipe drivers side I think it is missing the nib there, no hole just flat alloy. This I think, is the over flow you mention?...

Wrong rad. take it back, get the correct type.

Except in extreme cars, alloy rads are a waste of money.
