Default Budget smartphone

Hey guys I'm after a budget smartphone to replace the rubbish normal phone with bad signal I have on o2.

I'm going with the Three network as its the only one where I can get a decent signal round here.

Anyhoos I've whittled it down to two phones the Samsung Galaxy Ace or the HTC Desire C.

I can get either on their ultimate Internet 100 which goes me 5000txts all you can eat data and 100mins talk time for £13mth. Perfect for what I need and not too costly.

I'm not a big smart phone user so don't need an all singing all dancing top of the range model, just one thats reliable and will last the duration of the contract.

So out of those which one of those would you pick and why?

noooooo, i've got the wildfire s and it's rubbish, i hate it with a passion.

i can only have about 8 apps, keep moving them to the sd card, but got no space left on internal memory. i've deleated all i can, but can't download anymore apps, not even updates. sometimes i can't even look at my pic's in the gallery (that are stored on my sd card) because memory is full. WTF has that got to do with looking at pics

don't know if the desire is any better

the wife has got a galaxy s2 and it's fantastic, i'm wanting a new phone, i can't put up with this rubbish for another 15 months, i'm looking at getting the samsung ace too

HTC Explorer is better. All good reviews.

Agreed, the wife bought a Wildfire S and its the biggest pile of sh1te i've ever had the pleasure of using to make a phone call. No memory to do anything at all. Can't load apps, can't download updates, basically its no more use that a 10 year old nokia with a big colour screen.

Samsung Galaxy S Advance is serving me well right now. I like the way it does things but no ICS yet.

If you're on a budget consider a 2nd hand phone with dual cameras - for Skype / tango over wifi
