Default 2005 STI PPP (DCCD) Tax Bracket

Howdy,

I had a quick search and couldn't find any posts addressing my question.

I don't currently own a Subaru but I'm hoping to in the very near future!!

I've seen an 05 sti ppp for sale with 39k miles, but on the information it states that it is in the M tax bracket of 400 odd quid, is this incorrect or does the ppp increase the tax?

May be a stupid question but I can't find any info of this!

Thanks

cars registered upto march 2006 the maximum you'll pay on any engine is currently 265quid, after march 2006 it can be over 400

Magic, thanks guys

That's what I was thinking, they must just be advertising it wrongly.

I would rather have the 05 model if I could get it, 7.5k, with 39k miles in black, seems a tad on the cheap side though...

If they have listed road tax is £400+ then maybe there's more room to haggle, I.e expensive to run and all that and then you only pay £260

Yeah, I was thinking about giving them a call to see if they had more info about the services, says full subaru service history which sounds good, the only problem is the car's 364 miles away from me.

Haha exactly, nice point to haggle with them!

Even in a buyers market £7.5k for an 05 sti ppp (with certificate?) with only 39k on the clock does sound very cheap, I would defo get a hpi check on it.

If its all above board you're getting a proper good deal!

Yeah this car come up for sale about one day after I bought mine, gutted haha! Great price, would buy this in a heartbeat if it was straight.

£265 should be the price for tax, you can check with the reg on the dvla site.

I typed the reg into the car check on my iphone, no mileage history has come up, but the rest appears to be ok.

Think I'll give the showroom a call and see what they're saying.

Yeah exactly! I was trying to get the ball rolling quickly, but that's the joy's of working on a contract that runs out in 2 months, and I don't know if it's going to be renewed!
