Default Re-sealing a spoiler?

Hi all,

I'm replacing my boot lid on my blobeye so the old STI spoiler has to come off. I have the new boot lid ( 2nd hand ) but wondered if you have to lay down sealant anywhere when re-attaching it to the new lid? If so where and what type of sealant?

Thanks guys

I change my bootlid on my sti, the fixings for the spoiler have foam rubber washers and some plastic clips that seal with foam washers, nothing special. There is a foam strip under the spoiler but that is more to stop it damaging paint and does nothing to seal it. Should be able to reuse existing fittings and washers, I did and have no problems

I used the body panel/trim tape, double sided sticky when refitting mine piece over each hole so worked great
