checking wrx gear oil

Default checking wrx gear oil

just a quick one guys

is it best to check wrx 2.5 06 gear oil level when COLD or AFTER DRIVING but allow it to settle say 15mins'ish

take it that would be on max mark when cold???


just i was confused after reading to maybe do it hot as checking Hot you are certain of the Maximum level the fluid rises, hence avoiding overfilling and blowing seals etc

I think it's on automatics that you need to check levels with the fluid warm. What does it say in the manual? I ask as I don't have a manual in English!
