Default parts prices....

hi there to start my engine rebuild KT green subaru say i will need a full gasket set they have offered me this at what seems like a high price, is there anywhere else i can get this set from?
they also told me i need a special tool for seperating the engine?
can anyone shed some light on this as this is my first attempt to take the engine to peices
tonight i will remove bumper bonnet wings (so they dont get damaged) and FMIC and piping thank you in advance

Don't use any other gasket set than genuine Subaru. These aren't an easy build and you don't want to have to do it all again.
Be very careful separating the block halves. We see a lot of damage done by screwdrivers, chisels, hatchets etc. I swear I've seen teeth marks on some!
If you duff the dowels up you might as well throw it away..

ohh gosh, now i dont know what too do? can i get the subaru onces cheaper anywhere else?
now i dont know what gasket set to buy..

You can buy replacement dowels so don't see why a blocks scrap just because of a damaged dowel?
