Yes, first off, if you want sensible replies on here, learn to spell and punctuate properly

Second, DON'T jump into ownership again until your job is certain not to disappear again and your insurance is lower.

If you want something quick, go for something in the hot hatch diesel market, cheaper to run and insure.

Not worth it then. How old are you? How many years ncd?

Build up your ncd and get a bit older driving an Ibiza FR, or a Leon FR diesel, both fun to drive and bloody quick

£750, Hell thats cheap!!! im about to turn 23 and can't find quotes anywhere near that good for my wrx, even by putting it in my dads name whos in his 50s with no claims well over 10 years and me as second driver, it's sort of a joint car between us.

What companies that with mate???

I dont understand admiral myself sometimes. I had a clio 182 as a runaround not long ago and put it on my multicar policy. Cost me like £225 then when i came to take it off about 2 months later i got a refund of £187 which included a £25 cancelation fee so it cost around £20 for 2 months

Insurance is a joke!

What i don't get is how so many people get away with insuring there wrx's and sti's as sports or gl's, i mean i know my wrx doesn't say that on the logbook it just says subaru which could be any model but surely it's to big a risk for these people because surely there policy would be void if they had a bump and it turned out to be an sti..?

Yep, it'd be voided and they'd be taken to court to pay for any 3rd party costs.

Any time we get a quote for a GL model we look into it very closely

Thought they would be, good job too!!!

If people didn't do stupid things like that the decent folk amongst us wouldn't have to pay such high insurance prices.

The other thing screwing insurers over is 17/18 year olds buying online policies, but putting their date of births as 10 years older, to get cheap prices.

That's rediculous!!!

I'm currently trying to find a policy for just 6 months of the year as only want it as a summer weekend car shared between me and my dad but prices are over a grand for 12 months but can't seem to find anyone that will do a 6 month policy.

You'll struggle TBH

Better off getting an annual one, but with a company who'll cancel pro-rata, so you don't loose out financially

Yeah that's the other option, trouble is looking at the T&C's on the half decent quotes ive found online it seems if you cancel it halfway through you won't get a refund and will have to pay a cancellation fee..

I think im right in thinking you work for keith michaels insurance, if i were to insure through you would i be able to cancle after 6 months and get a refund on the remainder of the policy??
