It's cambelt time ! Lol. Can anyone help me find somewhere that can do it for me please. I'm in Watford, herts, but I will travel if it means it's done by someone who I can trust and who respects my car. I'm proper **** about cleanliness . I've been looking at tdracing. But anyone got any better ideas please.
FB tuning will more than likely be doing mine later this year. On the second cambelt change is it a good idea to change anything else? Pulleys, pumps etc
What sort of price we looking at to do cambelt (without parts) ?
its 2 to 3 hours labour.
if its the first change people just do the belt. mine was second so I did tensioners and pulleys , one of the pulleys was grinding and showing signs off its age.
You can but if you mess up the timing then it will cost alot more for an engine rebuild
i didnt mean cant you do it yourself as in is it impossible , i ment cant he do it himself ? its not brain surgery, take apart , line up timing marks , belt off , renew pullys etc , belt on ,put back together , jobs a good un , whats the problem??
easy

I wish i had so much confidence as yourself Chris....
Yea probably mate but for the sake of 2 / 3 hours labour cost I'd rather just let a pro do it who's done many.
i see , however i try to make my wages go as far as possible ie three kids , a wife !! , three dogs , lizard , two frogs , and a bloody ferrit and then lets not forget a scooby!!!
