Default pulled by the fuzz aaahhhhhhh

Hi guys got pulled tonight while on a top speed run after a remap. Waited for two days to have the time to blast it, found a long straight road with no traffic and gave it the beans. I won't say here what speed I was doing but suffice to say it was too fast. ..... unfortunately there was a copper parked up waiting fr some idiot like me lol
He pulled me and I expected license gone on the spot....... but..........
What a nice guy! Fellow scooby owner and he goes on scoobynet. I got away with a section 59 no points no fine! Just a warning for 12 months, so if you are that copper who pulled me near asda cheers I promise I'll be good................. on the back roads lol

Some times a good telling off works better than slapping 3 points on your card.

I got pulled doing 120mph on a GSXR1000 few years ago. As you did I thought that was it, banned for a long time.. genuinely crapping myself. After a huge bollocking he told me to sod off and spend more time looking in my mirrors! Very very lucky..

Yeah just goes to show there are some coppers out there who realise perhaps although you are driving slightly too fast the cars we drive have better brakes etc.... therefore can cope with it safely in certain situations. I am in no way condoning speeding but if it a wide oen road good viability no traffic and a car with brembo beprakes etc there is very little harm.on the flip side if I got 3 points I wouldn't be as worried as the section 59 for 12 months. But hey just gotta be a good boy and no higher insurance. Happy days

i have been pulled doing 35 in a 30 and given 3 points and a fine! the car was still in km he was a complete **** on the other hand ive been pulled doing 150+ on an empty motorway at 3am he was on slip round he put his lights on so i slowed down and pulled over! i was ****ting it what saved me was the fact i slowed down and pulled over as he said him self he would never of cought me, really nice chap all he did was check my tyres and they were all new so his exact words were " slow the f u c k down or the next time i see you speeding im having your car! go on, on your way" OI SLOWLY"
so i drove home at 60 lol lesson learnt.

As said some officers use " common sense " when dealing with motorists, what I hate is the camera van hiding behind a tree so you don't see it till its way too late " ***** "

i am pretty sure they cant ban you unless they have proof of what speed you were doing, for example of they are just sat up on the roadside with no speed equipment they have no proof to say or show how fast you were going?

do they not have to provide evidence in court if you have been summoned?

Good on the cop, there are good and bad cops like everything else.

I remember the day travelling back from Andy Forrest's after my remap, felt so fast I tried to take on Porsche 911.

And lost.

Yeah map was successful. This is the second time I've been lucky got pulled over a ton through Roadworks on motorway the cop used to have a scooby himself and admitted I wasn't driving dangerously simply because of the car. Got 3 points but should have been banned on the spot! I've always found though if you are OK and straight with them they are OK with you within the letter of the law.we are not boy racers we just drive fast cars and sometimes we are all guilty of heavyfootitis. Then again there are plenty of wombles as well, I'll just have to be more careful lol

I once got pulled on the way back from Pembrey race circuit. V6 turbo Sierra tow car with my Midget on the trailer, doing around 85 I'd say. It was dark.
I did the "oh, is there something wrong officer?" routine, checking my lights.
He said "Tell me Sir, what's the maximum speed for this combination on the Motorway?" I suggested 70. "It may surprise you to know it's actually 60 Sir"
"Which wouldn't be so bad Sir, but we weren't doing 70 were we Sir?"
He suggested I look at the evidence on his machine, which I politely declined.
"Go steady Sir" he said, and went on his way.
Phew..

It's rare to have a copper use his discretion these days. Well done to him. You owe it to him to be a good boy now lol, well on his patch anyway.

I think it's the best way of dealing with speeders. Throwing the book at people just makes more people hate the police. I got pulled on my gxsr doing 137 in a 40 ( country road, no houses or side roads for 2 miles) on Christmas day last year. Told me to stop pratting about and he was going home in 10 mins. Told me I could go and asked how fast was I actually going so I told him. Just called me mental an off he went. On the other hand got pulled for "speeding" all I did was set off from the lights quicker than the granny in the micra next to me. Didn't go over 30 and he pulled me. Was acting the big man till I asked him how quick was I going. He got told to jog on.. There's good and bad as said above.

The last section of the road is about 2 miles long and straight and he was at the top. He didn't catch me I just saw him pull out at the end of the road obviously he heard me coming. He didn't even turn the lights on I just pulled over to save him the hassle.

a section 59 is the worst of the worst in my eyes...

I was given one for overtaking on a supposed solid line,( which it wasn't)

I was then pulled over 3 times prior all for speeding and had my car impounded because I had already been given this section 59. and each time a 150 pound release fee

the section 59 was brought in to clamp down on these mini bikes riding around on the road/pavement but police are giving it where ever they can.

it stinks

Or you could be sitting on a ban right now, it may suck, but you would have been due a good 9 points otherwise.
