I read in a magazine a few months ago about the fact that you could import a boxter from Japan and save some money. The other thing is that they are identical to the UK/Irish ones.

Anybody know anything about this.

Thanks

Don't know about Japan, but my girlfriend and I made a lot of enquires about importing from Holland. A UK-spec Boxster 2.7 taxes fully-paid came to £28500, saving about £6000 on UK price. However this was before Porsche added a £1500 surcharge for RHD orders placed on the continent. The biggest trouble was finding anyone willing to deal, most dealershops just refused point-blank.

It is possible to save money on importing a Boxster from Europe, try the main Belgium dealers. But there is still the wait time when these guys have your money.
I wouldnt do it (I just bought an S from AFN, Chiswick) but its your money.
Oh, yes, you will get less when you come to sell too.

Cool

Porsche Boxster?

Don't you know this is a SUBARU site?

Anyway, if you're interested, my girlfriend has a brand new unregistered 2.7 Boxster arriving UK on Monday 17th January and SHE'S SELLING IT!

Good spec - UK list £38,500. Offers?

If she gets enough for it she might buy a Zero Fighter!!!
