Crap, i bought something similar a few years back to go on a vauxhall, just out of pure curiosity.
It was basically a resistor, you wired it in and it basically changed an input signal to the ECU depending on how you wired it, (also known as piggy back)

Interesting that they get away with naming it +30BHP and claiming it will give up to 30BHP increase, but in all their rolling road results the biggest increase is 15BHP. Presumably you only get the full 30BHP if you fit it to a Veyron.

i fitteded one to myne subaroo and it gave me 120bhp, my mate has a scoobvy SDI and i riced him and i beat him. seriouz it give me like 180bhp! go get one from maplins..

danger - yep in a big big way mate, these things worth pennies from Maplins are not going to put the main mappers out off business put it that way, may even given them work with the mapping you will require after your engine rebuild !!
sorry mate asked the same thing myself a while ago, was not fooled by the adverts but must admitt was intrigued more than anything regards them- was advised not to even think off fitting one !!
