You really should provide a little more information eg What model/year you have?
If you're about to spend a few grand getting an extra 100bhp, don't skimp on the clutch!

Yer your right I have a 1995 sti import totally standard at the min I'm just about to upgrade the discs & pads and get it un restricted. gearbox is already out just waiting to find the wright clutch. Once that's done I'll move on to the engine, I'll be doing most the work myself so just need some good advice on where's best to buy parts that won't cost me the earth.
I was told that it's running 280bhp from the guy I bought it off but not really found out for myself if it's true.

I run 380 bhp (384), with 349 lb.ft, and APIDavid recommended, and sold me a Competition Clutch Stage 2 Organic.

Feels exactly like OEM, and so far no problems with it.

According to their bumph, IIRC the S2 is good for 60-80% extra torque over stock. So for a 260 lb.ft std Impreza, that means it's at least good for c.415-470 lb.ft

are you running 2 pots at the front or 4 pots? If it's 2 pot's I wouldn't even bother wasting money on upgraded discs or pads. Just fit Subaru 4 pots, or if budget and wheels allow, Brembos.

Can supply uprated discs/pads for 4 pot caliper or OEM for 2 pot caliper. Very keen pricing. Give us a call.

Yeah, had the flywheel mod too - API sells their own lightened OEM f/w's 'off the shelf', so a replacement was fitted at the same time as the clutch.

Have had no probs with the API f/w + C.C. S2 combo, thus far.

API Impreza

Like a good lawyer, if you ring and ask for David, he'll give you half an hour of his valuable time to talk you through options.

Seeing as 'I've' probably got you a sale David, perhaps you should give me a credit equal to the G.B. saving?

Only kidding.

Exedy is by far the most popular choice and more widely used with success by Scoobynetters.

Competition clutch have had their problems and reviews are a bit thin on the ground.

The Exedy products simply work, nice and smooth just like standard but can take 400bhp and some serious abuse. Very well priced too.

My understanding is that your stock was not genuine EU Exedy stock though APi and you used Exedy parts mixed with your own modified parts?

Since late 2008 Exedy took note of the few problems the kits used to have and introduced new clutch plates that are very road friendly. They have been faultless since and still remain the first choice for Scoobynetters.

We sell lots and lots of Exedy clutches and would not bother unless the product was 100%.
