this may be the end :(
last nite i had to go and pick my 6 yr old nephew up so thought it would be good to take the scoob out for a drive, sadly on the way home the oil pressure gauge dropped and before i could pull over safely the car turned in to a tractor
ive only had the car back 4 months and done less then a 1000 miles in it im truly gutted as ive had 3 engines fitted this yr 2 because of a dodgy garage
and one i bought from a mate (pressent engine) that is a 2004 sti.my luck has been so bad that a local breaker has offerd me £1000 for it as it is and im tempted to take it and call it a day with the brand
but ive put alot of money and hard work in to the car lately it would be a shame to get rid

the first was head gasket that went i took it to a garage and they ballsed it (not sure how) so i got another and they killed that one one aswell (again not sure but all pistons looked like they had be shot blasted).the new one was solid useing tesco momentum fuel (no shell local) and im running a chipped ecu that was done mapped with full ss and front mount ran strong down at engine tuner but i hit a pot hole last nite really hard and was thinking maybe this has helped kill it off
I don't follow. The last engine you put in, was it second hand or a bought block that was rebuilt?
If you've just been buying engines and sticking them in then it's the risk you take sticking any old crap in. 3 engines though, there's an underlying problem there whether it's the car, the driver etc.
Not worth saving up and having a rebuild done by a reputable company on here?

the last engine was mate the other one second one never made it out the garage lol. i have been running a blitz i colour boost controller set to 1.1 bar but being a newer sti engine thought this would b well safe
ive not had chance to go and look at the car due to the shatty wether were having down here but im thinking that i did hit a massive pothole (was large enough to make a hell of a thud and dented my wheel bad) on the way to pick my nephew up and maby ive split a hose or even done the sump and droped all the oil will take a look in the next day or to

You still should have the map checked regardless of how strong the engine is or what the afr reads. The car has to be setup properly and with this cold weather the fueling was no doubt up the wall.
