In other words,
He bought it in september but has since picked up an engine issue so he's trying his best to get out of it.
And brutal performance....lol. Uk turbo with PD is what, 240bhp at a push.

Steer clear buddy.

Even with the supposed drop in price is still over priced. Walk away.

Hard to tell from the pics what sort of condition. it really is in. Needs pics of interior and some close ups of the bodywork.

IMHO he bought a 'lemon' with engine issues and has only just found this out due to it being a second car/weekend toy

Re problems -- MY99 car with loss of compression - likely MAF related so allow for a rebuild due to melted piston(s) - given that is the case then he needs to knock off £1200.00-1500.00

2750 and you have to allow for £1800-£2200 for a engine rebuild
Remember it's nearly 12 years old ,arches will need doing soon so allow £600 for that so that's up to over 5k for a old Subaru
Prodrive options were only a couple of grand options when new in 2000

When the engine goes pop which it will ,here trying to sell so the car is then worth £800-£1100
That's the value of it so lots of better buys around so walk away from that one

When there is so many other good examples of classic imprezas for sale, that have been cared for properly, why burden yourself with one with issues?

Do your wallet a favour, walk away with no regrets

+1.

The right car will come along buddy, trust me.
Rushing out and buying one because you can't wait to own an Impreza will end in upset.
