Default Spec C, looks a bargain

As above , but why turn it into 2.5????even though its forged. thought 2.0 were better engines????

Guy says Teg(sp) carried out conversion, a Mr Simpson??? anyone know him?

Seems a genuine guy after i spoke to him and pointed out that it would be a 2.0 being JDM he then found out about conversion etc.

Looks a good pricE TBH.

Cheers guys,

I had never heard of him, was wondering about it, also wondered if it was a Type 25 as litchfield had had it.

Also why convert it if JDM's engines are so much better apparently???

I'm sure its a nice car, but the oddest spec I've seen in a long time.

Some people prefer the grunt and torque of a 2.5 is the only reason I can think of as it makes one hell of a road car

Certainly not a T25, all the Hawkeye T25s had the Cosworth motor and 400+ bhp.

Agreed. I am surprised by the choice of Hydra ECU though, and I'd say a spec C is pretty good with the engine it comes with.

I was quite surprised with the intercooler switch as well, thought it was only needed for high power cars.
ie 400+

could well be the torque he was after as the 2.0 jdm even twinscroll will never produce the same torque as the 2.5, thats why andy f has done this to his and produces upto 520lbft on certain maps on a 321t!

It was in Banzai or Jap Performance 3 years ago with another spec c in white. Then it had the 2 litre engine but with some weird mods too. E.g STD Turbo but fmic and injectors iirc?! .It was up for sale about 18 months ago for approximately £19k

Why alter a Spec C though, special engine of sorts?

TX.

Edit - perhaps they don't know it's a 2 litre engine ie it's a genuine mistake?!

busted engine perhaps, the 2.5 is a good engine if you dont plan to go massive in power and in day 2 day driving you surely dont need it, the torque is amazing, but yes the spec c 2lt is better engine
Personally i wouldnt devalue a car like that by putting a worse engine in

Yes it is but the power delivery and the grunt of a 2.5 makes for such an easy drive for the road, don't get me wrong I'm with everyone that it does seem an odd thing to do to such a great all round package but it may of suited the owner better.

Fair point maybe the owner assumes its a 2.5 due to the UK equivalent in shape, might be worth an email

Spec C's are cable throttle not FBW.

Nothing missing, it's a switch for a rear fog light. I had the same in mine but swapped it for an OEM switch.

Not sure why it's cable throttle ?

It has a rear fog it's just that from the photo it looks like the switch is missing, it's not it's just set further into the dash than the others.

Maybe a switch was broken and not been replaced, after all they are £133 from the stealers !

You need one to pass the SVA Test to register an import in the UK though
