Usual suspect as RCM,Lateral,AS performance and i think too APi

I don't want to buy one, i want to make my own £4/500 is ridiculous, i have a welder and i'm not afraid to use it

if you saw the amount of time to actually manufacture and install correctly then you would re-think your comments IMO (based on the aluminium fitted baffles type)......thats aside from the R&D aspect to make sure it actually does what it says on the tin LOL

obviously the steel "clubman" versions that some offer are far cheaper/lesser spec

Main reason is funds, but like i said i have a welder and no shortage of time, which is why i thought i might make one if there is a bog standard design, not interested in any of the really fancy ones i have seen as they are overkill for what i'm intending to do, i won't be entering time attack, but i would like to give my engine every chance of survival.

I have seen a standard one with the holes on the top plate welded with plates, does this have the desired effect of providing some protection?

Any guidance you can provide would be appreciated.
