hi,

i bought a hayward and scott race pipe of a member off here, he knows who he is, bloody nice bloke, anyway after taking it to my local mechanic after 5 days of him taking the manifold off, the bolts sheering on the turbo, taking the turbo off to heat the thread things off and replace with new ones, i should be picking up my car today to see what it sounds like..

it has a full decat bellmouth downpipe and straight through centre section and a hayward and scott angled exit race tube (the one with the burnt tip on the end 4.5" exit) i cant wait to see what it will sound like!

i will post back this afternoon with a review of it, just incase anyone else is thinking of getting a race tube like a cobra or rcm

and ill try and get some vids of it too!

just called guy who is near the mechanics place and he said he could hear it in his workshop and it sounded like an F1 car, lmao!

Cannot wait to hear it! gunna go up at 3:30. yey!

Don't forget remap if you have a full decat straight through exhaust.

oh my f*king god! lol am i happy or what!

ive never heard anything like it before the sound is actually unreal!

its just like mega loud, but also suprisingly bassey and you can hear the turbo spool up too, i am so happy its unreal, i didnt have it on the road as it has no tax, i only revved it up a few K and it sounded the absoulute, dogs dangleys, i cant even imagine what its going to sound like on boost! lmao!

down side is, im actually reall dreading driving it because of the old bill pulling me over, its like an f1 car lol

i would seriously recommend a race pipe like cobra or RCM to anyone that wants loud, it IS THE LOUDEST you can get on a scooby imo!

only thing is i had no pops or bangs on revving it to about 3-4k revs in neutral?

am i right to think wheni actually drive the thing and a turbo moves, it will pop and bang, id eat my hat if this baby dont pop and bang, it sounds like it wants to, but as i said i couldnt drive it because it has no tax, so it just got a rev in the yards car park?

the reason i say this is my friend has a classic, and he made a whole system for around 12 quid from stainless pipe it was just like mine all de-cated and a race pipe and his sounded like gun shots going off going through town, surely, wheres my gunshots? lol

 

heat wrap the headers, up pipe and down pipe, then map in a bit of popping and you're laughing.

Off to RCM thursday to see Dunc @ Racedynamix map hers so we're hoping he can map in some pops etc as she has a flamer

i might just be waffling on about nothing i havent even drove the car with it on yet, i recon it will be popping and banging like a good en! hope so! ill have to wait and see i guess!

 

yes it is illegal if its to loud also its a fail most likely on gas emissions for Mot.. but nyne who has one of these made there bed and now they have to lie in it! LOL

 

yup, and you'll never get on a track over 105db static too.

Chances are, you'll get neighbour complaints before getting tugged, they dont like it when the windows shake, lol
