Hi all
Not sure if this really is a question that can be answered on here but i thought i may as well see.
I have a 1995 Uk Classic, i picked it up relatively cheap and was going to put £500 into it to make it a nice car, only problem is i lack the want of doing anything on cars at the moment and cant see me getting the project done.
The reason it is cheap is the paintwork is a little tatty - i was planning on respraying it, and it needs a fair bit of TLC. The engine itself runs well however the car has no MOT as it failed emissions - i have since found out it is completely de-catted which is the reason why. Now i dont think i will be able to sell it whole as it needs a bit of work doing to it so my question to everyone is how much can you realistically get from breaking one of these?
Any advice would be greatfully received.
Thanks
David

Get it fixed!!
Its a second hand cat (one in downpipe on those thats all), or a nice and friendly MOT tester.
Either paint it, or get it covered in Rally stickers, JOB DONE.
Far too many are getting broken, so there are loads of parts on the market. You`ll be left with half a shell on your drive as not everything will go.

A friendly MOT would be the way forward, my classic struggled with the emissions on the MOT with a cat, you need to find a place that prefers dogs to cats
But if you do break Id be interested in the de-cat
