Biggest difference is that the Jap car runs AVCS on the inlet and pulls 250 BHP out of the box rather than the 215 for the UK. There are some other diferences in lights, brakes (the jap are terrible), rear wiper, stalks but the jap wins IMHO............provided you swap the brakes

250ps v 218ps, crap brakes on the jdm (2 pots v 4 on the uk car), avcs on the jdm, rear wiper on the jdm etc.
AVCS is variable valve timing (active valve control system)

The Turbo's are the same (Mitsubishi TD04L) and max out at 280 BHP ish , don't need an induction kit as the inlet side of the bug is pretty good

Shaun

PS Sorry Tony......should have said ps and not BHP
