hi all i have a my2000 wrx (import obviously) which has bottom end knocking i just want to know if any ej20 turbo bottom end will fit it or does it have to be off a jdm version 5/6?
also does anyone know what the differences are between the uk turbo engine and the import wrx engine? any help greatly appreciated

All I know is that on the UK MY99/00 Version 2 engine the inlet manifold bolts are staggered and not inline so when swapping the bottom end you have to use the existing heads/inlet BUT you can use any wrx or sti bottom end. When mine started knocking I just changed the whole lump as it was easier.
If mine ever goes again i'll be swapping to a v7/8 sti bottom end thats for sure or do a CDB build.
I thought all the jdm imports were sti's? I'm learning as I go along so maybe wrong.
