Default Newbie in the house saying hi!

Thought I'd give a quick introduction before posting like mad!

After years of loving the noise I got offered a trade for my pretty beaten 180sx (dont get me wrong it was a great car, just a little rough). A 2001 bug eye impreza... my favourite model, although I appreciate most people dislike them.

Only mods are a hard pipe to a K&N filter (airbox lid removed)
Bailey dump valve (You can hardly hear it, I plan on binning it anyway)
Afterburner 2.5" stainless system from turbo back with vortex backbox (CEL light on *groan* because of this)

From what I've read online after removing the stock cats, exhaust and intake it should be remapped so this is on my 'to do list'. The car had a few 'shopping list' stickers which I removed the same day... standard.

Apparently it has STI ally wishbones and new droplinks and bushes but I never bothered to look.

I replaced the battered nasty clip on momo gearknob with a nice proper razo I have knocking about. I didnt have the correct insert but I drilled and tapped it and VOILA, professional looking and feels great!

If anyone recognises the car then please let me know, I'd like to find out some more on its history. It was imported in 2008 and has about 5 registered owners so far.
I gotta say its a really nice car, it's my daily so goes on long motorway hikes and sits around in london traffic. It doesn't seem to have that insane throw-ya-back when the turbo kicks in which I'm used to... would that be down to needing a re-map or is that just down to me driving stupid power RWD cars?

Anyway, hope to catch up with a few members at the next meet!

Oh... I have since cleaned the car and polished the headlights so they are once again clear

Cheers bud, I really like the colour too. I believe it is 'Red Mica' Code '94H'... beats the usual drab colours that litter streets round where I live.

As for the ride height, the lad I got it off mentioned Apex Springs but I didnt take much notice as I'm used to cars scraping the floor on coilovers and this goes over speed bumps with ease! Mind you the ride is very firm still so should investigate the suspension sometime.

The wheels appear to be genuine Subaru but I'm unsure of what they are from. The black wheels definitely go well with the privacy glass!
Have you noticed the JDM factory wind deflectors yet?

Ok, newbie question here... with a lot of people saying about engine problems, worn cranks, etc and the astronomical costs of rebuilds got me wandering. Should the worst happen is it common/easy to fit the 2.5l twin turbo engine from the legacy GT?
