Default gearbox choice

I hav a buggered ty752vb4aa. Am i right in thinking that as long as i replace with one of the same ratios the code is irrelevant? Is it just the final drive 4,11 that i should be concerned with?

752's are the weakest bo of the lot, you're better off going for a 754 box and diff from a facelift classic or newage as they are stronger and the ratio's are taller (especially 5th)

the diff is easy and tiny compared to a gearbox.

Based on your last post i'd just say change the gearbox. A gearbox wont make a car slower and a longer ratio box will give it a higher top speed as its a longer 5th gear.

Stick with replacing like for like if you've no idea about gearboxes tbh.
