I've asked before but I need it again

If I buy an aftermarket alpine clarion kenwood what additional bits do I need for the media ports in the armrest to work

Are they specific or can I buy an xxxxxxx adapter and then proceed to use any head unit

Please help serial where I buy it etc, the iso part will be easyish I did this on my old wrx.s and everything worked ok on the wheel
