Default 22mm front and 22mm rear ARBs. Good or bad idea ?

Hi. I bought a 22mm front and 22mm rear anti roll bars, Whiteline, both not adjustable (not fitted yet). Could you tell me please, is it a good combo to reduce Impreza understeering a bit or not? I'm running on Whiteline wire type, rear Drop Links as well.
How often do you have to change bushes on ARBs ? The ones I bought came with bushes, but not too sure if should I change them or not?

Thank You

I've always understood that the rear ARB should be thicker than the front.

So leave the front one as it's now (standard) and change rear for 22mm, right?

I've always been told thicker back. 22mm front should have a 24mm back but its different strokes for different folks.

You could leave the front as is and fit the 22mm rear or look for a 24mm rear and fit that with the 22mm front.

You'll easily sell the 22mm rear.

You may find someone who'll do a swap.

To dial out understeer, you usually only upgrade the rear anti roll bar for an upgraded thicker one, however, i dont see why it wouldnt work if you upgraded both and had thicker at the rear than the front.

Always buy adjustable bit pointless having fixed 22mm front and rear IMHO car will feel ok I guess but you'd need to set the geo up properly with camber bolts to mitigate that lazy rear end Replace the old bushes with the new yellow ones and plenty of grease

Oh and leave me some Itrader feedback

^ Like Stu said

Further, with slight risk of confusion, soz

To do a proper job, whichever option you go for, you need to go adjustable and then tweak/personalise, and yes, with geo to suit

I like the 23f/25r combo on my (classic) weekender and 22r only for my daily (classic wagon)

Edit: arbs are 22/24 adjustables, and 22 adjustable for the wagon

Thanks a lot Guys :-)
So, in this case, I think I'll sell these two and buy only rear one. Adjustable one.

53WRX,
How can I leave a feedback ?

Click on my trader score '20' and then copy the link from your centre caps thread where it asks for the URL

I'd keep the 22front, sell the 22 rear and buy a 24 rear adjustable

Only other thing to do is sell the front and keep the rear and use the OEM front like you said will still be better

Hi after doing loads of trackdays in verious scoobies id always leave the front and put 22mm on the rear it helps massively with understeer and high speed cornering
Cheers Rob

Is it a big difference between adjustable and non adjustable one? I mean, NON adjustable one will be equivalent to which setup from adjustable one?

53WRX,
I'm doing exactly like that but it comes that is something wrong with my details.

The rating for the adjustable arbs comes from the setting at its softest.

So a 24mm rear adjustable will be 24 on the softest, 25 on the middle and 26 on the stiffest (inner hole)

So, other words, 22mm Non adjustable one is same as 22mm adjustable on softest setup, right?

;-)
Ok, I'll leave the front one standard + rear 22mm Non adj. and see if there is any difference. If not happy with that, I'll sell it and get adjustable one.
Anybody interested in 22mm front one ?
