I seem to be going in circles trying to figure out what gaskets to order to fit the 2nd hand exhaust system I have bought, every company I talk to seems to say different things so I was wondering if anyone could help.

I currently have the standard twin pipe exhaust on my 2003 WRX.

I bought 2nd hand a prodrive sports cat (from wr1), a prodrive decat middle section (from uk300) and a custom backbox from m.i.j.

Does anyone know what gaskets I will need?

I thought it was the following but now I'm not so sure:
- turbo to downpipe (5 hole bellmouth type)
- downpipe to mid (2.5" flat gasket)
- Mid pipe - back box (2.5" flat gasket)

 

Have a look at the pic below to see what pipes you've got.

You will need to get your car mapped for the sportscat after fitting it aswell.

It always pops up now and again and is much easier to show someone than explain it

 

your downpipe to mid will be a 2.5" donut gasket (if a 3 piece)

though on that diagram (4 piece) its between midpipe & rear exhaust pipe

also, get a genuine turbo -> downpipe gasket
