Back in the Subaru fold.
Only taken 3 years and 3 months
Got a payout from my insurance (finally) after some ***** crashed into my little Peugeot in Feb writing it off.
Scoured eBay and Pistonheads for ages and my cheque cleared just at the right time to buy a lovely 99 S-plate Scoobaru estate in Champagne Silver
Has the updated dash, grille, bumper etc as well as 4 pots up front so happy all round with it. Previous owner owns his own bodyshop so had the rear bumper and tailgate professionally resprayed too. Only a tiny hint of arch bubble which I'm not concerned with.
Oh and less that 100k on her too
Anyone car to guess what I paid for this beaut??
God it's good to be back in a Scoob

Thanks guys, between Jamo and Powerwrx - £1395, or £1500 with 6 months tax.
Genuinely chuffed as she drives beautifully, no clutch issues, engine solid, gearbox tight and a full standard exhaust on her too!! A rare thing

Knowing Andy's tightness, it was probably and bag of maltesers and they reimbursed his bus fare.

Wellcome back to Subaru
Those three years have went so quick
Nice looking example my classic wagon is 11 years old now and still going well
All classics have a bit of bubbling on the rear arches ,even mine who lives in it's luxury garage
A good example like that will last for years
See you at NBO 10

Yeah, we should meet up. I haven't told Jeff yet as he will go ape **** at me as I'm on a tight budget running this one
Don't see why not dear boy
LOL - couldn't resist you argumentative sod
Sold the Merc a couple weeks back, well swapped it for a 406 Pug which I planned to keep for a while. But my cheque arrived quick and cleared swiftly... the rest is history.

Yeah, he was a really genuine guy. He explained the issue with the neg feedback as I was wary and it is a '6 of one half a dozen of t'other' type story in fairness. But he was really good with me, met him at his house yesterday whilst taking my little boy for his first Cleethorpes outing. No issue with leaving a deposit for tax and collecting today either. Even took me round his bodyshop for a nosey.
Worst thing... wheels need refurbing and the tyres aren't fantastic
Prolly needs an oil change too and the cambelt checking. No big issues there

looks like this is the previous owner http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/tobysti
Bargain twice then it seems
Notice his listings weren't Subaru parts so hopefully a nice standard one for me. May get an exhaust later
