Naughty bit of kit!!!!
After waiting four months for a turbo............I picked up this baby earlier on today.

It's the new twinscroll SC42 billet made by Blouch and supplied by Scoobyclinic.
I was originally going for an LM400 and asked Ian to supply me one back in April when the new billet wheel came out. However through no fault of Ians his suppliers were taking the mick with the compressor covers.....four months
In that time I had become aware of the SC46 billet which had great reviews and the MD321 however Mark at lateral had the same issue with his compressor covers as they were supplied by turbo dynamics.
As they say all busses come in three's!!
Last week all three come about and it was a very hard choice however Kev made me an offer I couldn't refuse
Turbo will be fitted tomorrow if all goes to plan and will be having it mapped by Engine mapper @ teg sport

Blouch turbo's are pretty bloody good! We recently fitted on to an Evo X we built a Cosworth stroker engine for, it's pretty damn impressive
I agree with you 100% it's not about how it looks ,but about how it performs.
it is the first twinscroll SC42 of it's kind so it's somewhat of an unknown area, but I guess we will find out in the next few days.

Turbo was supposed to ve fitted last week ,but I have to wait till Websday now
On the plus side nullfork met up with me in his UK hatch STI with a 2.5 fully forged rebuild and an SC46. The engine is on it's running in map only running 1.0bar.
Couldn't believe how quick it felt and how quick it spoiled up.
Can't wait to get mine on!

Will let you know when it's fitted and mapped but it should work out at £2k all in fitted and mapped
You thinking of joining the club Andy? It will make stage one feel slow

That looks very nice Immy,
You`ll have to keep me posted when you have got it all fitted and mapped, Do you know exactly how much work is involved with the braket/throttle body to get it fitted right, Trying to get as much info for when i`m ready to follow suit seeing as you beat me to it, lol.

There's two options one is to move the throttle body slightly , but this runs the risk of unequal air entering the inlet. I.e more in one side then the other. The other option is to push the intercooler back a little which requires a bracket fabricating. Richard henrys will be fitting the turbo and they have done a few of the SC's and advised me to use a bracket. It's only an extra hours work nothing to big

Look forward to hearing how you get on.
It will be good to compare your results on both the LM400 & 450 against the SC

Kev did say you Wanted this unit but first come first serve

Do you know what the rough fitting/labour cost is inc the bracket, Excluding mapping as i`m on a EcuTek map(PM me if you want)?
Dont forget to get your graphs up soon as if you can mate, looking forward to seeing the result,
Gaz.

Immy,
I thought you had ordered the SC46.... just realised this is the SC42 you ordered, yet you went out in a SC46 equipped 2.5! roflol
Talk about comparing apples with elephants.
In any case have fun mate, as I'm sure you'll be happy once it's fitted and mapped.

apples with elephants..no mate i dont think so,the sc46 and sc42 are exctly the same unit apart from the 46 has a 60mm wheel and the 42 has a 56mm wheel, shouldnt be a hell of a lot in them tbh,the 42 will spool quicker but the 46 will give slightly more power at the top.
