How low does you petrol guage have to go before it brings on the low fuel light ?? I have 20k miles 2007 wrx and never let it run low but i tried it the other day and let it go to the E and still no light ?? Even on the E line is there quite a large reserve ??

Any advise

 

It comes on quite early on my hatch STI. Well above the E mark. I could still easily drive another 30 miles before i do a refill, and when refilling, it could only take 50+ litres or so, so logically speaking, there should still be a couple of litres of petrol in there (60 litre tank)

 

Maybe the bulb has gone

 

On my 2006 WRX the light comes on once the needle starts going below the E line. When I fill up some 20 miles after I still have 7/8 litres of petrol in the tank.

 

2010 Hatch STI and I was still driving with this on...

 

Around 8 litres of fuel left when the warning light comes on

 

How much further did you get before filling up?

 

According to Google maps, 4 miles. I was sweating it a bit though
