how do you get a light scratch out of alloy?

Default how do you get a light scratch out of alloy?

ive scratched my alloy swingarm on my 600rr pride and joy (bloody paddock stand)

any way of polishing it out

depends on how bad the scratch is and the finish i:e paint or bare Ali can you post a pic my be able to advise you

right its not as bad as it looks but atleast you get an idea on th finish of the rest of the swing arm

Is that brushed aluminium ?? if so it needs re-brushing not polishing..

piece of cake dude you need a scotch pad they are a bit like a Brillo pad you could try a bit of wire wool and re brush by rubbing it the same way as the grain , do a test piece underneath where you can't see it to see what you think this will do the job mate

Can be tricky freehand, I've seen it done by cutting a slot in thin, hard plastic and using that as a guide to keep the "grain" as straight as possible.
