Replacing a headlight washer.
#1
Correct forum I hope but....
How do I replace the front headlight washer on a MY99 UK car? Is it easier to take the headlight out and rip the skin from my fingers trying to replace the thing or to take the front bumper totally off which takes more time but saves my delicate little hands? If this is the best way then how do I take the bumper off. Thanks for your help.

This is a BIG job
Looks as if it should be a five minute affair, but it is a bumper off job
Dealer did mine so no idea how to do it, but that and a 37500 service took 3 hours! (fortunatly a warrenty job so didn't cost )

If its the same fitment as a UK MY94, then you do not need to take the bumper or the headlight off!!
I just twisted the original washer off, and used a pair of pliers to make sure the new one was on the water line!!
All in, it took about 10 mins

I raised this issue some time ago procedure advised was as follows;
Remove the spot light, you then should be able to get access to the headlamp wash. There is a clip that holds this on, this will need to be removed. You should then be able to pull up th epart from aobe and undo the pipe.
Had the same problem but dealer sorted out for £1.53 new clip
