Thumbs down Looks like scam - Impreza for sale

I was looking for a classic impreza and found such an interesting ad. Check the mileage on old ebay ad and new one on pistonheads. Someone has the time machine!

Old auction on eBay -> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1997-SUBARU-IM...d=241636874836

New ad: http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2839869.htm

Images for reference.

PS Is there a topic where I can ask about a car I am interested in buying?

If you look carefully you will see 148xxx mileage..

And now "new" pistonheads ad for the same car:

The first 1 says 46/1000 the second says 48/ 1000. U sure there the same car?
Depends wat milage the clocks were switched to miles rather than kms. As far as i know if the car has for talk sake 100000 km then is switched to miles then the clock still reads 100000 but starts counting in miles so by 150000 on the clock , it wud actually have done arround 112000 mile. If that makes sense

Both are 0046. Auction at March reads 148000, now it's 79000. Even if you convert 148000 km to miles you get more than 90k.

looks like the same car to me! Maybe an email to trading standards or to Piston heads them selves is in order!

they both have the same ripspeed stickers on the bumper and turbo badge on the bootlid so i'd say they're the same car too.

It started life in Bradford then ended up in accrington, and its lost some miles, isnt a 97 or 98, it an MY99, would be worth looking at it then pointing out the mileage on the ebay at the same time and see what they say but the condition of the car should give away its mileage.
