Default Bottom end?

Morning all I posted a few days ago that there was a knocking noise from my engine bay and I thought my bottom end had gone. Well this Monday whilst doing the school run a big bang occured and a loud blowing noise had started (I thought the worst had happened) pulled the car over called the rac after around a hour the guy turned up told me to start the car as soon as he heard the noise he said turn it off that doesn't sound good. He checked the car over and found the problem a spark plug had worked it's way loose he took the battery out refitted the spark plug and yes all sounds good and my scooby is back to it's flying best. Thanks for the advice guys and happy driving.

When you think about it, how on Earth does a spark plug manage to unscrew itself I can only think it wasn't tightened at all in the first place! I know vibration will encourage a thread to loosen but the plug cap is exerting some pressure which should counteract this?
