TD04L and TD04H?

Whats the difference between these two turbos? I know the H is fitted to pre MY2000 and the L post MY2000 but is there any difference, and will the L fit a MY2000?

i have got a tdo4l (top entry) of my wrx if it's any use to you mate..Pulled really well, only changing due to upgrading the engine and injector's...

Is that a front entry mate? What year car, and whats the mileage? Cheers
